Bayer MaterialScience Receives Platinum Recycling Excellence Award from Greenpak, Inc.

PARKERSBURG, West Virginia — March 21, 2006 — Greenpak, Inc. today announced that Bayer MaterialScience received a Platinum Recycling Excellence award for their Returnable Packaging Program.

Bayer MaterialScience, located in New Martinsville, West Virginia, diverted over 87,900 pounds from the facility’s local landfill within 2005. Greenpak, Inc. is honoring Bayer for their significant efforts and impact on environmental awareness. The New Martinsville facility has continued to increase the amount of material diverted from the local landfill for the past three years.

Art Burnside, Horst Siffrin, Mike Wade and Jim Covington of Bayer MaterialScience accepted the award from Greenpak, Inc.
