On May 29th & 30th, Jeff Shaver, Craig Arnold and Jamie Morgan of Greenpak, Inc. attended the 2007 Teaming to Win conference at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling, WV. Teaming to Win is a non-profit organization providing business support conferences, educational activities, promotional forums, networking resources, workforce and business growth opportunities. The organization's charitable purpose is to advance and improve small business prospects in West Virginia, and to facilitate educational opportunities which promote higher business standards, methods and practices. Teaming to Win each year sponsors a premiere regional conference devoted to advocating and advancing teaming among businesses and organizations to win contracts, provide services, or develop products.
A bass fishing tournament was held during this year’s conference to benefit West Virginia’s wounded soldiers and their families. Greenpak sponsored the event by providing the first prize; a 10’ aluminum boat.
The tournament totaled 17 boats, each containing one professional and one amateur angler. Notable attendees on the water included Congressman Alan B. Mollohan of West Virginia, Professional Women’s Bassmaster Ms. Janet Parker of Little Elm, Texas, General Randy West, and Jamie Morgan of Greenpak. All proceeds went to the General Randall L. West and Robin Lane West Emergency Fund for Severely Wounded West Virginia Veterans.
Although the fishing was tough, fun was had by all. The first place winner of the boat was Mr. Ronald Thomure. Ron is the Director of the Center for National Response, which is a division of Azimuth, Inc operating in West Virginia. Azimuth does various types of disaster and terror preparedness training and testing for first responders.
